The Circle of Palos Verdes Art Center celebrates its 50th Anniversary with gratitude and many thanks to our Sponsors and Donors.

Over the last 50 years, The Circle has raised more than $2.1 million to support PV Art Center--including their art, art education, and outreach programs, and beginning in 2026-2027, an emerging Youth Digital Art Program.

At the core of our Circle fundraising mission is our belief in "the power of art to spark the imagination, be an agent for change, and unlock unlimited possibilities."

Collected Treasures 2026

It's Treasure Time!

This year's 3-Day shoppers' delight continued to grow, as our community has become familiar with our annual sale, supports it with their donations, and shares the event with their friends.

"It's Treasure Time" was a fitting and popular slogan adopted for this year's very successful Collected Treasures!  We love our shoppers, and heard at checkout that they love the "treasures" they're purchasing!

The sale offers a treasure trove of antiques, curated goods from across the world, an ever-growing array of artwork, jewelry, china and silver pieces, furniture, household goods, clothing and other specialty items.

Co-Chairs Denise Tegel and Janie Hasselman are to be congratulated for their year of commitment to Collected Treasures' success, as well as our members for 1000's of hours of preparation for the sale.

As The Circle support group marked their 50th Anniversary, Collected Treasures was an outstanding success. Each purchase provides funds to Palos Verdes Art Center, and the art, art education and outreach programs that PVAC brings to our entire community.

A special thank you to Redondo Van & Storage for the amazing support they give to Collected Treasures, for both the storage and moving services they provide. Many thanks to each of you who donate, attend, and shop at Collected Treasures.

COLLECTED TREASURES

Upcoming drop off dates at Palos Verdes Art Center are:  August 5, and September 2, 11 am to 2 pm. Additional drop off dates will be scheduled soon.

Circle members have historically served as exhibition Docents and are delighted that in 2022, the docent program was restarted, after a pause during the PVAC renovation. Docent tours are valued for adding both information and enjoyment to guest viewing. During two PVAC Art Show exhibitions each year, docents are available Tuesdays and Saturdays, 10:00am-Noon.

Docents receive training about the artists’ background, influences and techniques, and offer insights into the artist’s oeuvre to enhance your understanding, appreciation and experience of the works displayed.

Enjoy a Circle Docent for your next PVAC Tour!

If you are interested in a Docent-guided group tour, it can be arranged through PVAC. Student groups, community organizations and friends/family can schedule a group tour by contacting Gail Phinney, Community Engagement Director, gphinney@pvart.org.

The next exhibition offering Docent Tours will open in September 2026.
