Supporting Your Palos Verdes Art Center — 1975-2025

Celebrating 50 Years of Bringing Art and Art Education to our Peninsula and South Bay Communities!

Since its inception in 1975, The Circle of Palos Verdes Art Center has been the fundraising support group for Palos Verdes Art Center (PVAC). With much gratitude to our all of our community supporters, The Circle of Palos Verdes’ efforts have raised $2,100,000 to provide art experiences and art education through Palos Verdes Art Center.  For 50 years, The Circle has hosted a wide range of events, including the ongoing Collected Treasures event as well as The Art of the Road Rally, Celebrate Extraordinary, Palos Verdes Homes Tour, Art for Fun(d)’s Sake, and most recently The Circle's 50th Anniversary Dinner Gala.  Our upcoming events feature the PVAC Winter Art Show with Holiday Reception on December 5, 2025 hosted by The Circle, followed by our major fundraiser Collected Treasures on March 20-22, 2026.

Our 50th Anniversary Gala

The Circle of Palos Verdes Art Center Celebrates 50 Years of Fundraising!

The Atrium of Palos Verdes Art Center shimmered and sparkled as the 50th Anniversary Gala of The Circle of Palos Verdes Art Center was celebrated. A full house of supporters, sponsors, and friends including founding member Irene Rosenberg, gathered together to commemorate The Circle fulfilling 50 years of fundraising for Palos Verdes Art Center.

Circle President and Gala Chair Evelyn Kita and PVAC CEO/Executive Director Daniela Saxa-Kaneko welcomed guests, shared Circle history, and PVAC's purpose and programs that bring art and art education to our community.

Kita presented a President's Award to Redondo Van & Storage for their "unique contribution" of resources to The Circle's major 2025 fundraiser, Collected Treasures. Combined with 3,000+ hours of Circle participation, the event raised over $78,000.

With deep gratitude and appreciation, Trish Lange and Debbie Richardson, Sponsor Co-Chairs, thanked the following Gala Sponsors for their outstanding support: Merrill,

EP Wealth, The Canterbury, Vefa Art Gallery, The Artists' Studio (TAS) Participating Artists, Malaga Bank, Butler Fishman, Terranea, Water Replenishment District, Waste Management, Belmont Village, West Basin Water, Peninsula Shopping Center, Bennett Landscaping, and California Water.  Having their sponsorship enables Palos Verdes Art Center to bring art and art education programs to our Peninsula and South Bay communities.

On behalf of Sheri Gill Donor Chair, Kita also recognized the 50th Anniversary Donors for their outstanding generosity and their commitment to the vitality of art in our community.

County Supervisor Janice Hahn's representative Kelly Cross honored The Circle of Palos Verdes Art Center for its 50 years of service.  Recently, the PVP Chamber of Commerce also recognized The Circle of PVAC as a "nonprofit of the year."

Edward Carson Beall, architect of the 2013 redesign of Palos Verdes Art Center, spoke fondly of the service to PVAC that he and his wife Susie enjoyed.  Chef Dora presented memorable international cuisine.  Music filled the air, performed by the talented guitarists, John and Evan Brown.  Guests captured memories in a Gala Photo Booth. A Silent Auction completed the evening's activities.  President Evelyn Kita invited everyone to join The Circle in "making the next 50 years outstanding for their support of the arts in our community."
